First Aid at Marymount
Yesterday afternoon we had a special guest at Marymount... Nurse Debbie!!
She arrived with bandages, pretend hats, watches and stethoscopes and was ready to give an educational afternoon lesson on first aid.
Debbie started off by talking to the students about what to do if you see someone who is lying on the floor, injured. Poon was our volunteer!
All the students taking part had their own hat, watch and stethoscope made from card :)
Then, Debbie showed the students pictures of medical problems and situations (for example, an injured knee) and the children had to run and get the picture of the solution to the problem (for example, ambulance, ice packs...).
Finally, the students were given some bandages and they got creative with pretend injuries! :D
