At Marymount Summer School we've been doing something a little bit different in the evenings, which we call "Noodles at 9". We sell pot noodles, at the children's request, and the money raised goes to a charity called ActionAid to help children in Sierra Leone. The children who want to join all come to the dining hall before bed time and share noodles. The money raised goes towards helping build a school in the Kola Tree area and it is a charity supported by all of the Discovery Summer projects.
Recently we got an email from ActionAid after we donated £100, which apparently provides 12 chairs and 7 desks for school children made by local craftsmen. Below is a picture of Kola Tree, the community where the school will be built, so far:
