Life at Discovery Summer

The Marymount school of Discovery Summer is an old school in Kingston, a borough of London. The school is very big. Students from all over the world come here to spend a nice time in England and to improve their English. The school can host around 120 students. The age of the students must be between 8 and 14 years. Discovery Summer organises many trips into London or to other places. All the students must take 3 hours of English lessons. Students can also choose sports activities. They can choose to play soccer, tennis, ball games, volleyball or basketball.
Almost all of the students are sleeping here, although some students stay here all day and go home at night. The rooms are very nice. There are rooms for 2-3 and 4 people. Everyday students wake up at 7.30a.m. At 8 breakfast begins. Usually we eat good things. The best thing is that every day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner we have different things. Before going to bed we drink hot chocolate. Drinking hot chocolate is very relaxing. The weather, however, is normal. Sometimes it’s rainy and sometimes it’s cloudy. After dinner we do many fun activities until bedtime. The teachers are always nice with everybody. Discovery Summer also sends us “student hosts”. These students are native speakers who are our age and do the same activities as us .If we have a problem we can ask either the activity leaders or them. Most of the students stay here for 2 weeks, however some of them have been are here since the first days of July.
I think the best thing of this summer camp is that every day there is something special. 2 days a week we do trips. The other days we stay here and we spend our time doing many fun activities and sports. Staying here is a great way to spend the summer.
