Last night, the spirit of carnival and calypso spread across Marymount, as we hosted our first ever Caribbean evening.
Next stop, Notting Hill Carnival!
The Limbo dancing competition was hotly contested.
But there could only be one winner, and that was Marine.
And finally, introducing the Marymount International Steel Drum Band, featuring students from Russia, Turkey, France, Italy, Mexico, Korea, Poland, Japan, Germany, Azerbaijan, Angola, China and the UK!
Students got the chance to make their own carnival flags, practise the limbo, try some cool Caribbean drinks, and have a lesson on how to play the steel drums, an instrument invented on the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tabago.
