This evening, Marymount held its very first Craft Fair. But no one spent any money, as the children made all of the crafts themselves and then traded them for something else.
To begin with, the children signed up to run a stall, and then spent the first hour making their wares.
These children were working on the jewellery stall, making pendants to hang from their lanyards. As you can see, there was lots of interest from others.
Student host Ben and Max made finger puppets.
The origami stall proved to be quite popular. There were boats, rabbits, flowers and other beautifully made things from folded paper.
Some students made collages using cut up pieces of newspaper and magazines. Very effective. And you can see what was on their mind when they were working!
Kristina and Ksenia used their fingers to knit woollen scarves. Such talent.
Santiago was working on the pom pom stall. As you can see, he was hard at work.
After they'd finished making their crafts, they had a chance to trade them with the other students, giving them a chance to show off both their artistic and commercial skills!
