Amy woke up sitting on one of the seats in a
long row. The seat was highly uncomfortable and her back was hurting. Her head too.
She must have crashed her head on the table that was hanging from the
half-broken seat in front of her. She was on a plane, that’s right, a plane. We
can call this a crashed plane. The wall on her right was missing a huge part
and the wall on her left was almost falling apart. Some of the seat tables were
hanging just like the one Amy was looking at and others were either on the
floor or still closed. “Anyone there?” she said, wondering where she was. “Anyone?”
she said again, this time she spoke higher. Unfortunately not a single sound
responded. Not a single person was there to respond. The lights were slightly weaker
than usual and turning on and off non-stop. This was a plane, right? Where was
everyone that was supposed to be on the plane? In the shock of not remembering
a single thing, Amy stood up and walked slowly just like a spy, taking safe
steps through the rows of seats. She opened the door and took a look to the
pilots’ cabin. There was nothing but some buttons. The windows were darkened
and matte, she couldn’t really see anything until she got outside. She kept
walking to the other end of the plane. She peeked through the corner of the
broken wall. The weather was not steaming but not freezing either. The sun was
out, it was chilly. She felt the cold air on her thin white skin. She took a
small step forward. Her eyes gazed deeply into the forest, looking for people.
She stared at the same spot for a while, until a blue bird rapidly flew by her
green eyes. That was just enough to catch her attention. It was like heaven out
there. There were many trees with the greenest leaves you could imagine,
flowers that looked just like a daisy, but in various colours, mostly purple.
The grass wasn’t plain, many plants existed. Water shone like a diamond with
its clear blue colour. The only thing that distracted the stillness of the
water was Amy’s hands. She slowly took the water and washed her face, very
softly and gently. She rubbed the darkness on her hands and clothes off. The
water claimed its stillness back just after Amy removed her hands. The sky was
blue and beautiful. The clouds seemed like fluffy pillows. Amy stood up from
the pile of leaves she was sitting on. She looked around again, everything
visible was beautiful. There was a paradise waiting for her, an adventure.
Suddenly, guess who woke up.
