Our Marymount summer has officially started with the arrival of our excited students!
Some time was spent unpacking and making the bedrooms feel like home. Then straight outside to start some Welcome Games with our Activity Leaders. Already this have given the students the
opportunity to start speaking English to each other and friendships are forming!
The Marymount kitchen staff cooked us our first delicious British meal, enjoyed by all. We had our Welcome Talk from Jeremy - our Course director and got to meet our famous Mr Huggy, the Siberian Husky, who is available all day for a hug!
We had our first Evening Activity which was the competitive "Egg Drop Challenge." This entailed plenty of team work with mixed nationalities, designing and building a parachute, that was then dropped from a height and hopefully the egg would survive the fall.
Congratulations to the Green Team for winning the first task!
Last but not least the students relaxed with a cup of hot chocolate and a snack before heading to bed to get some well deserved sleep!
