Whenever it features in class, students are always enthusiastic about the environment. Sure enough, when Liverpool class studied the causes and effects of climate change, they were inspired to write, perform, and film short appeals for the charity Stand For Trees.
Each group devised their own idea, wrote a script, and rehearsed together, before filming and editing the appeals on their phones. You can see the three videos below.
Baruh, Viktoria and Pia wrote a short story to demonstrate the importance of protecting the environment. It stars Baruh as a rich man doesn't realise the consequences of his selfishness.
Maja, Viktoria and Maria wrote an informative script describing the causes of climate change and what we can do to help. Maja narrated while Viktoria and Maria directed, using a number of different locations around the Marymount campus to great effect.
Finally, Duru, Gaia and Dora used pictures and performance art rather than words to show the consequences of prioritising greed over nature.
If you feel as inspired about the environment as our students are, take their advice: visit https://standfortrees.org/en/ to learn more!
