Breaking News: A monster has been seen at Marymount. Our intrepid reporters at Marymount TV News have been interviewing witnesses, examining clues, and speaking to experts in order to get to the bottom of the mystery. Watch their report below.
This video was produced in the TV News Workshop at Marymount. The students began by thinking of all the different people involved in the filming of a TV news report and choosing roles for themselves, such as news anchors, reporters, interviewers, witnesses, weather reporters, and experts.
After a shocking encounter with the Marymount Monster (Activity Leader Josh in costume) at the end of the first lesson, the class had their story. They worked together to confirm the details before each writing their own scripts.
Every student in class appears in the video, as does much of the beautiful campus at Marymount.
