Week 3 Monday Activities!

We started welcoming our new students on Monday with a conversation game played in the Auditorium. Each student that was new but also students that are staying on for another week with us sat opposite another student and had 45 seconds to have a conversation and get to know each other. After 45 seconds they would move to the next seat, getting to meet another person. Doing this for some time meant that everyone could start talking without any shyness!

Before English classes started, there were a few games of Funball and also some drama games.

In the afternoon there were multi-activities. In the art classrooms we had Stained Glass Windows where the students created designs based around the theme Kings and Queens. They cut out their designs on black card then filled the space with colourful tissue paper. We also had a session in Crown Making, creating wonderful crowns worthy of Kings and Queens. For sport we had Girls Football, where they practiced some football drills and then played a game. We also had Boys Football where they practiced drills and a game and then Unihoc, where they developed passing skills and dribbling skills. As well as all of that, there was also a drama club, an animation club where they learnt what Stop Motion Animation is and were taught how to make a story board. Racket Sports club was an option where they played some tennis and lastly Castle Forts where the students had to build the strongest castle they could out of cardboard and other materials. It was a day full of fun, variety and learning new skills.

To finish it all off we had an evening activity called "Hunt the Officer" in which the Activity Leaders dressed up as characters and hid around the school. The students had to find all of the Activity Leaders but they were very good at hiding and it was quite a challenge!
